Story

I could write you a story,
To tell how I feel,
But words are just words,
That never seem real,
They seem like a world,
I don't understand,
Where man will fight nature,
And man will fight man,
You can't find my heart's feelings,
Through the blood and the grime,
Through the rape and torture,
Or the most brutal crime,
You can't read past the chaos,
Or see past the screams,
You can't fight past the nightmares,
That are now everyday dreams,
You won't see all this pain,
All you'll see is normal life,
Just the everyday horrors,
Of OTHERS Strife,
Can't see past your home,
Your family your work,
To look at the people,
Trapped under the dirt,
You can't find my feelings,
Because the story though real,
Has left this girl heartless,
And unable to feel,
The last bits of my heart,
Will be safe with no worries,
Left beneath the words,
Of the most sad of stories.
